CURRENT PROJECTS

The West Africa Governance Risk Assessment – Identifying & Addressing Signs of Retrogression In Governance is designed to contribute evidence as well as take practical steps for strengthening democratic governance in West Africa with initial focus on Ghana. The first initiative under this project is The Next 30 Years Democracy Pledge which aims to bring key stakeholders in Ghana’s democracy space together to make recommendations on how to address the identified six challenges to Ghana’s democracy captured in the recently published book 5Presidents, 8Elections, 30Years Later: How Ghanaians See Their Democracy.

PAST EVENTS

4 people in a meeting

A series of dialogues was held in Ghana in 2023. The first one held at the University of Cape Coast was hosted by the Center for Gender Research, Advocacy and Documentation (CEGRAD). The second one was held in Tamale, and hosted by Care for Deprived Communities. The third dialogue hosted by John A. Kufuor Foundation was held at the University of Ghana Business School in Accra.
